Sources suggest that despite the streamer's executives having an affinity for the series on a creative level, the call was made based on financial considerations. In the current economic climate, such decisions are becoming more prevalent within the industry. Although the show has amassed a dedicated fan base since its debut in 2021, Season 3's performance failed to justify the substantial costs associated with the production.

Adapted from Robert Jordan's best - selling book series, "The Wheel of Time" has captivated viewers with its richly - imagined world and complex characters. Despite its creative merits, the series faced challenges in maintaining viewership numbers high enough to support its lavish production expenses. As a result, the adventures of Moiraine Damodred and her companions will not continue, leaving fans with only the first three seasons to revisit this enchanting fantasy realm.
